Angel Villart

Angel Villart has established himself as one of the standout accordionists of his generation. He performs as a soloist at numerous festivals, such as Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, Festival de la Gente, Hors Saison Musicale, Les Musicales de Saint-Chinian, and Festival Musiques de Sphères. His playing captivates audiences with its expression and musicality, along with the diversity of his programs, combining classical works, contemporary pieces, original compositions, and his own creations.
A prizewinner in both national and international competitions, Angel has won the UNAF Competition and the International Young Talents Competition in Normandy, both in chamber music.
A musician with a strong interest in artistic collaboration, he performs with a variety of ensembles such as Duo EØS, Duo Yakaira, Trio Accordion, La Compagnie des Cadets (founded by Philippe Estèphe) and Ensemble À Bout de Souffle. He has also performed with orchestras including the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Chamber Orchestra under Jean-François Heisser and the Orchestre National du Capitole conducted by Leo Hussain.
After studying at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Toulouse with Guy-Olivier Ferla, Angel earned his Master’s degree from the ParisConservatoire (CNSM) in 2020, (graduating with highest honors, unanimously awarded and with the jury’s congratulations), in the class of Max Bonnay and Anthony Millet. He has also benefited from the guidance of renowned professors, such as Hugo Noth, André Zaraté, and Jean-Marc Marroni, who have all shaped his approach to performance.
Committed to outreach projects, Angel also introduces his instrument to hospitalised or isolated individuals through his involvement with the association Tournesol – Artistes à l’Hôpital.
